I interviewed a few students and teachers about what there were doing for Christmas, heres what I found out.
1. Are you going anywhere for Christmas? Why Mrs. Llyod say shes not going anywhere but her kids are visiting her. Mrs. Midgett says absolutely not! Mrs. Anderson said she is going to the mountains to visit family. Kaylie says shes going to her grandma's because she was making good food. Jordan is going nowhere, her parents wanted a stay at home Christmas. 2. What do you want for Christmas? Mrs. Llyod wants fun, family and food. Mrs. Midgett wants a hello Kitty blanket. Mrs. Anderson: Paper pencils and a stapler that works. Kaylie wants an Ipad for Christmas. Jordan would like ice skates for Christmas. 3. Do you still belive in Santa? If so why if not why? Mrs. Llyod belives in the spirit of Christmas. Mrs. Midgett says "yes if you dont belive you don't get nothing". Mrs. Anderson says she belive in Santa because Santa is the true spirit. Kaylie says no because her mom told her. Jordan no because she saw a recipt for a "Santa" present. 4. Do you go all out with decorating for Christmas? How? If you don't how do you decorate? Mrs. Llyod goes crazy! Lights in windows, on the mantle everywhere. Mrs. Midgett says not really just a tree and stockings and a santa. Mrs. Anderson says she goes all out on my front porch. Kaylie says yes the whole house with snow lights everything. Jordan says yes with christmas villages, trees candle, and wreaths. 5. What are some of your family holiday traditions? Mrs.Llyod says her family opens 1 gift on Christmas Eve, we play Christmas music, and have Christmas dinner and breakfeast. Mrs.Midgett say she has Christmas at my moms house then on Christmas morning we make the kids walk in the room with there eyes closed. Kaylie says she opens a present on Christmas Eve. Jordan says she eats ham and opens a present before breakfeast.
After Christmas I went back and asked if everyone if they got what they wanted. Mrs Midgett got her hello kitty blanket, Kaylie got her Ipad and Jordan didn't get her ice skates but she got a Ipod touch.
